Yaw, Pitch, and Roll

Yaw, pitch, and roll refer to rotation about the respective axes starting from a defined equilibrium state.

Yaw:
- Called 'heading' also
- Rotation of an aircraft, missile, etc, about its vertical axis

Pitch:
- Rotation of an aircraft, missile, etc, about its movement of the longitudinal axis about the lateral axis

Roll:
- rotation of an aircraft, missile, etc, about its longitudinal axis

Yaw, pitch and roll are the critical flight dynamics parameters that are the angle of rotation in three dimensions about the center of mass. In addition, these terms are used for iPhone programming to read out data from its accelerometer.

The following movies are the short examples of yaw, pitch and roll.
